Additional Notes:
The No. 207 block plane originally had a vertical post screw adjustment for the cutter when it was first released in 1887. By 1910 this had been changed to a lever adjustment, before being dropped from the Sargent line altogether by 1918.
Type 1 planes had a lever to secure the lever cap and “SARGENT & CO.” cast into the body. Type 2 planes were secured with a “gull wing” shaped clamp screw.
