Additional Notes:
Although 7 inches long, the No. 5607 block plane has a mouth the same as that found on a 6 inch block plane, such as the No. 306. It is a scarce plane, despite being made for 35 years. Examples often suffer from cracked mouths, due to the low angle of the bed, and the cutters do not have the plane number stamped on them.
Sargent also made this model for Sears, Roebuck & Co. to market under their “CRAFTSMAN” Brand.
