Additional Notes:
The prototype plane for the “Shaw Patent” planes (see Sargent No. 7). Marked with the number 6408 behind the frog as well as the oval U.S.A. trademark on the cutter, a blank lever cap with 408 and a dot cast into the back.
It is not known if other similarly-marked Shaw Patent planes exist. As it is unique, no valuation has been established.
