Adjustable Iron Roughing Planes
Roughing Planes are especially adapted for use on rough lumber. Owing to the curve of the Cutter it will take off material very rapidly. The Cutter is held firmly in position by means of a clamp.

Additional Notes:
Not to be confused with the earlier version of the 160 Roughing Plane which was made from a solid casting from 1916 to 1927.
The body casting on the later version was quite rough on the sides, as these were not ground down at all. Often remnants of the sprue are still visible.
